Very disappointed with our stay at foxwoods. Well let me say one good thing.nice to just walk down to get food or see a show.but if that convenience is worth an extra 200 per night.this is your place I can rate a bed by how well it does on my sensitive back.just your typical 100 per night comfort level.we will never come back. All other 400 a night beds are better than these very standard hotel beds. The view from our room overlooks a casino roof. Spend your 400 elsewhere.this grand pequot is way over rated. We brought our own keureg cups of coffee assuming they would have as most of the good hotels do.but nope.no coffee maker. Then they charge you amenity fees when you check in yet there are none. 37 channels with no renting avail like many hotels have.

All while the workers at the vip line just chat it up and serve nobody.then we figured we'd rent a movie before shutting down for the night. They made us wait over 30 minutes in line to check in.

The pics on the web site make it look much better than it is. No jets on the tub.grout had some mold developing. I've stayed in holiday inns that were just as good. See pictures I loaded vs what is on web site. Not impressed.there are so many better hotels for 400 dollars. Yeah, there were a couple of nice large sculptures here and there, but for the most part it was just inducements to spend money, as if the room itself wasn't costly enough. The atmosphere was like an airport, plus loud music. And many of the long corridors were narrow and caused bottlenecks in the crowd. Signage was poor, making it difficult to find our way around. No one at the front desk had a map of the huge, confusing complex. We decided not to have dinner there for over $60 a steak (side dishes extra, of course).įor that much money, I would expect elegance and superior service. The breakfast buffet, at nearly $30 a person, didn't even have an omelet station or a waffle machine, and not many other choices. A regular Grande cup of Starbucks coffee was over $5! Each shop and restaurant was a separate entity, not included. EVERYTHING was extra: meals, entertainment, drinks (unless you were gambling, but I guess I didn't gamble long enough), and VR 'rides.' And the prices were high for mediocre to low quality. We were not allowed to use any other pools, despite paying a $25 per night 'Resort Fee.' We stayed in the Great Cedar section - 1 of 4 towers in the huge complex - and the pool was closed. But for a total of $925, including taxes and fees, I would expect a lot more to be included in the experience than just a decent hotel room.

If you like to gamble all day every day, you'll have a great time. Foxwoods has nearly nothing to do but gamble.
